Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens had some kind words for his son Terique, who followed in his footsteps by joining the San Francisco 49ers.
"I'm proud of him. All we ever asked for is an opportunity," Owens told Josina Anderson of CBS Sports after Terique signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent. "He's wanted to make his own name and carve his own path to get to where he is. We would've loved to have gotten drafted, but he's got his foot in the door. Now he has to continue to do all the right things and show people he can play.
