Spring showers have moved into mid-Missouri, the last exam scantrons have been penciled in and Pomp and Circumstance still echoes throughout the concrete halls of Mizzou Arena. It is officially summer in Columbia as the student diaspora is in full swing and faculty have departed for the beaches or the mountains. It is, as we Columbia natives like call it, “happy season” in mid-Missouri, when the weather is warm, the traffic is light and restaurant wait times are non-existent.
While happier times are ahead for all Mizzou fans this fall, the dog days of summer will soon be upon us.
